Re: Team v Leicester
Some of the dribble on here is madness! We've lost 1 game, it happens.

Why would you want to rest Payet?!? We only have 6 games left, so what are we resting him for?

And why any of our so called supporters want us to lose is mind boggling, even if it does help Spurs out.

We have some right wankers that support us!

Re: Team v Leicester
Carroll can't play 3 games in 8 days.Plus he got a needless booking that made him think twice for the rest of the match. He would of been better coming off the bench last night and Huth & Morgan will be able to deal with him.Antonio needs to play in his proper position on Sunday.

zico 1:46 Thu Apr 14
Re: Team v Leicester
If Sakho is fit and up for it he has to play. Same with Reid because as much as I think Collins is a good defender unless we play deep Collins is too slow up against Vardy.

Pointless playing Carroll because we will need to push high to get anything out of him and if we lose the ball like we did last night we will get done on the break.

We need to play a counter attacking game like we did at Anfield or the Etihad or maybe even a striker less formation to confuse Morgan and Huth. Maybe a 433 with a back four, deep midfield of Kouyate, Noble, Obiang and three attacking midfielders Payet, Lanzini, Antonio would work. Having the attacking midfield three sitting between the lines of Leicester's 442 it would give a problem on who Morgan, Huth and Drinkwater pick up.

Re: Team v Leicester
It's a nice break until Sunday, so bollocks to resting anyone considering there are only 6 games left.

As for the easy excuse of saying they looked tired last night, I think that's nonsense.

Entire midfield was gash, so get them all back in there (with the exception of Valencia) and let them prove it was just an off day.

Adrian
Byram - Tomkins - Ogbonna - Cresswell
Kouyate - Noble
Antonio - Payet - Lanzini
Emineke

I'd swap Reid for Tomkins and Sakho for Emineke if fit, though I'm too lazy to find out if they will be!!

Hopefully we will get at least EL for next season so I would expect Randy to be offered EL & Cup games, which will hopefully be enough to entice him to stay... we need two decent keepers.

Re: Team v Leicester
Forgot to point out that Collins would be on the bench for CB and O'Brien for either side.

We could always revert to a flat back four and add to our midfield, see?

gank 12:05 Thu Apr 14
Re: Team v Leicester
I'd like to know the truth behind both Sakho and Reid. If they're causing problems then get rid of them today. If not, they should play.

Adrian
Byram-Tomkins-Reid-Ogbonna-Cresswell
Song-Kouyate-Payet
Sakho-Carroll

Now we have three CBs to deal with Vardy and any cut through the middle, you can expect that Jap and Mahrez to keep doing it, also gives our wing backs full license to bomb forward and get crosses in to Carroll's head without leaving us light at the back.

Plenty of creativity in the middle, Song and Payet going wider or narrower depending upon where Byram and Cresswell are at that time.

Best of all, a very strong bench with an International GK in Randolph, midfield steel in Obiang, flair in Lanzini or passion in Noble, goals from behind a main striker from Valencia or Moses and if Carroll has to come off Emineke can be the bloke up top even though I think he's shit.

So there's your team to beat Leicester.

Uncle Gank sorts your problems

Randolph

Byram Collins Ogbonna Cresswell

Obiang

Moses/Antonio Kouyate Payet Lanzini

Sakho/Emenike

Carroll won't get much luck out of Huth and Morgan, need a more mobile striker.

Just think Noble could do with a rest. Randolph deserves a league game.

Obiang must play to nullify their midfield, especially Mahrez.

How is our season over? We have the 4th placed trophy to fight for.

Hammers1993 11:29 Thu Apr 14
Re: Team v Leicester
Adrian will start but I seriously would give Randolph the chance in the PL with our remaining games, Leicester away at least.

He has deserved it, and although would probably be harsh on Adrian I don't see the harm in the competition. Seriously impressed with Randolph and hope we can keep hold of him in the summer. Although you couldn't deny him a move if that's what he wanted after what he has given to us this season.

Since our season is over, just field a weakened team and let Leicester City smash us..

As long as Spurs don't win the league, I am happy...

Wont get change out of their two CB's with Carroll. Put Emineke in to run the channels push them 10 yards deeper and let the 3 in behind get on the ball and do their thing. Obiang in to sit more and break up their counters and because the bloke deserves to play, has been mustard every time he has stepped on the pitch for us.

Noble was superb vs Arsenal.

It was a bad day at the office yesterday. What is fucking wrong with you idiots?

We lost a game of football.

Nobes is the one who needs the break...back to seemingly running in heavy sand.....and please get him to change those yellow boots, look like he got clogs on.

Re: Team v Leicester
I'd be tempted to rest Payet.

He has had a lot of football since returning from injury, international duty as well so maybe stick him on the bench for Leicester and bring in Obiang to solidify the midfield.

Lanzini, Antonio and Carroll as a front 3.

I'm curious as to why a few people would drop Lanzini after one below par game?

3rd name on the sheet for me.

1) Noble
2) Payet

If you're asking?

Re: Team v Leicester
I never thought I'd have been saying this at the beginning of the season, but we haven't looked the same defensively since Collins has been out of the side.

Also absolutely no point playing Andy Carroll unless we're going to get the ball wide and get high crosses in for him to get his head on (which in my opinion he's probably the most dangerous striker in the world in those situations). Other than that he's pretty useless to us.

Personally I would opt for:

Adrian

Byram
Collins
Ogbonna
Cresswell

Noble (C)
Kouyate
Obiang

Lanzini
Payet

Sakho

Pretty sure Morgan and Huth would be up for an aerial battle with Carroll.
